Swag's Guide to Jazz Fest

Happy Jazz Fest Everyone!  Once you have passed through the gates into that musical, culinary, and cultural gumbo known as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, you are sure to have a good time.  Getting there is another story.

Cabs, bikes, public transportation, parking, disabled services, shuttle service, entrances to the festival...unless you are in the know, the options can seem dizzying.

Never fear, Swag is here.  (Picture a super hero clad in musically themed robes and a cape made of gold.)  Swag may not wear the cape, but he is a hero nonetheless.  He has researched Jazz Fest inside and out and has developed a website replete with insider tips.  He even has a page devoted to transportation issues.  Go to his website, Swagland.com and drink from his knowledge.

Other highlights of his site include how to get in free by volunteering, budget festing, and a guide to eating at the fest.  I didn't know that you could bring your own food to the fest or that vegetarian items are marked with an asterisk (*) on the official food list.  (Hey, I didn't even know there was an official food list!)

Some of the info and links on Swagland.com may be not be current, but the site still reigns as a portal to that other world locals simply call "The Fest."  Let Swag take you there.
